As an Advantage Health Physician Network Finance Intern, you will have a unique opportunity to learn how the Finance Department plays a vital role in maximizing the brand of the organization. Our finance professionals work with the organization’s leaders to meet Advantage Health’s strategic goals. Qualified interns will perform the following tasks that include, but are not limited to:

Working with teaching contracts for providers

Reviewing contracts

Obtaining signatures form providers and mangers

Keep track of risk credit (that is, if a provider works with risk management education, they receive a discount on malpractice insurance)

Track malpractice law cases in a case information and updates spreadsheet

Collects and reviews Scope of Care and Staffing Plans from ambulatory sites

Sends out notices to doctors who have delinquent medical records

Updates and maintains Ambulatory Policy and Procedure Manual

The Employee Wellness Intern will assist in researching, designing, and implementing a new employee wellness program for Advantage Health Physician Network, under the direction of senior leadership.

Assist in designing, implementing and evaluating fitness incentive programs.

Assist in developing, implementing and evaluating seminars or workshops designed to reach the "at risk" employees based on needs assessment and evaluation data.
-
Develop, market, and distribute health education information through the use of electronic mail, bulletin boards, newsletters, flyers, posters, handouts, etc.

Assist in implementing and evaluating risk reduction and behavior modification programs.

Attend and provide input at weekly Employee Wellness meetings and participate in monthly department meetings.

Assist and support leadership in any health or wellness initiative.

The Education and Training Intern’s primary responsibility will be assisting the Organizational Development Consultant in maintaining and developing education, training, e-learning, and related curriculum initiatives for the organization. They will be exposed to identifying initiatives through the development and use of skills/needs assessment methodologies, survey tools, organization performance analysis, and input from management, staff, and customers.
